• THE CHALLENGE
Counting THE-ARE's stock meant closing the store for half an afternoon and scanning garment by garment. Between counts, stock drifted apart between the physical store and the website, which led to selling online something that was no longer there. And during sales peaks, charging by reading every barcode created queues at the till.
• THE SOLUTION
THE-ARE uses 9nine across its three fronts, all inside its Shopify.
THE-ARE manages inventory, stock by store and movements from a single dashboard connected to Shopify.
The team counts the store by waving the RFID reader over the garments, no barcode scanning one by one.
At checkout, garments enter the Shopify POS cart by waving the reader and stock is deducted automatically.
• RESULTS
What used to mean closing the store for half an afternoon now takes a single pass of the reader.
Online and store match: no more selling something that was no longer there.
Charging by waving the reader removes the bottlenecks during sales peaks.
Plug and play: the team started counting and selling by RFID the same day.
"We went from closing the store for inventory to counting in minutes, and RFID checkout removed our queues. Stock finally matches between online and store."
